Macmillan Coffee Morning - September 29, 2015
Macmillan Coffee morning is the world’s biggest coffee morning and is the biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Each year people all over the UK host their own coffee mornings and donations raised are made to Macmillan.
Loktec Security Group held a Macmillan coffee Morning on the morning of the 25th September at the Loktec HQ in Leeds.
The morning was a total success with all staff bringing in cakes, donating to the cause and participating in games such as count the spots on the cake (which was won by our very own in-house Head Fabricator).
We managed to raise £100.00 exactly for Macmillan support and already can’t wait to get involved in more fundraising activities!
The Macmillan fun did not stop there…
Directors Mr. David Hardy and Mrs. Deborah Hardy held a Macmillan Coffee Morning on the Saturday which was attended by all Loktec staff, friends and family!
The morning also proved to be a massive success with an array of fantastic cakes, an extremely large bouncy castle and an inflatable slide – the day was fun had by all and to top it all the morning raised over an astonishing £800.00 for Macmillan support!
We sent all of the left over pork pies/hot dogs/ bread rolls/ cakes/ coffee/ cupcakes and more to St. Georges Crypt in Leeds which is a charity for homeless disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Leeds.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank every person involved in either coffee morning for their help in making baking donating and eating – we are extremely proud of the money raised truly hope that it will make a difference to those who need Macmillan support.
